Responsibilities ** If you have experience in Wound Care, ICU, ER, Critical Care, Telemetry or Advanced Med Surg you are encouraged to apply! ** Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Assess and document the condition of patients' wounds and evaluate the effectiveness of wound treatments Apply dressings and treatments to wounds, ensuring proper techniques to promote healing and prevent infection Provide comprehensive patient care, including both inpatient and outpatient wound ostomy and hyperbaric treatment Educate patients and their families about wound care techniques and prevention strategies, teach proper care for ostomies and how to manage continence issues Regularly track the progress of wound healing, modify care plans as needed, ensure follow-up care, and support post-discharge, and provide emotional support to patients managing chronic wounds or ostomies Implement infection control measures to prevent the spread of infections within the hospital, educate staff on proper wound care protocols and internal policies when needed Stay up to date on the latest wound care techniques, products, and research; participate in continuing education and professional development activities Interact with community resources to ensure continuity of care Clinic nurses provide hyperbaric therapy to appropriate patients (RN training for hyperbaric therapy is provided) Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. This person will round on inpatients at our East location Friday afternoon, the Saturdays and Sundays. Responsibilities of the APP: Deliver comprehensive care to new and established patients, including (but not limited to): inquiring about the patient’s history, performing a physical examination, documenting, ordering diagnostic testing, treating, and charging appropriately. Overview We are seeking a Cardiac Rehabilitation RN , sometimes referred to as a Cardiovascular Rehab RN or Cardiac Health RN in our Cardiac Rehabilitation department. A Cardiac Rehabilitation RN is a specialized RN who helps patients recover and improve their heart health after experiencing cardiac events such as heart attacks, heart surgeries, angioplasty, or heart failure. The Cardiac Rehabilitation RN’s goal is to support physical, emotional, and lifestyle recovery to reduce the risk of future heart problems, working in our Cardiac Rehabilitation unit. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. Shift’s Available: Variable Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN) Hours: 8-hour shift – 8:00am to 4:30pm Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Competitive compensation Medical insurance benefit plan 401K Responsibilities ** You must have experience in the Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, ICU or ER, to move forward in this position. You will not work in the Cath Lab Department but will be working in our Cardiac Rehab Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients' health status, vitals, and readiness for exercise Developing Care Plans: Collaborate with cardiologists and exercise physiologists to create individualized rehabilitation plans Supervising Exercise Sessions: Monitor patients during physical activity, ensuring safety and appropriate intensity levels Education & Counseling: Teach patients about heart-healthy living, medication management, nutrition, smoking cessation, and stress reduction Monitoring Progress: Track patient outcomes and adjust care plans based on response to therapy Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to cardiac emergencies during exercise sessions Qualifications Education, Work Experience and Qualifications: Current and valid state RN license Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current Basic EKG class completed Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/ #LI-CG1 Employment Status Per Diem Shift Variable Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer. Assists in endoscopic procedures as well as other GI procedures to include liver biopsies, anorectal and esophageal manometry, 24 hour ph, pill cam and paracentesis. Provides moderate sedation if needed. Follow established standards and practices under the direction of a gastroenterologist. Sets up equipment for procedural being performed, obtains and records patient data, and assesses patient during these procedures and delivers therapy. The Registered Nurse is required to be a part of team on call for emergency procedures after hours, weekends, and holidays. Initiates emergency interventions as appropriate. Ensures appropriate care, cleaning and maintenance of all equipment. Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Science in Nursing or ADN. Current state of Missouri license as a Registered Nurse. Current BCLS and ACLS. Ability to perform independently in critical situations. Minimum of 2 years critical care or related experience (ICU, CCU, GI, PACU or Emergency Department)
