The Comprehensive Medical Rehabilitation Unit (C.M.R.U.) is an 18 bed Joint Commission Accredited (J.C.A.H.O.) in- patient unit located on the second floor of Christian Hospital. Patients admitted are adult through geriatric and require intensive rehabilitation therapy to include at least two of the following modalities: speech, occupational, and physical therapies. Diagnoses include but are not limited to Cerebral Vascular Accidents (C.V.A.), complicated orthopedic problems, neurological/neuromuscular disorders, polyarthritis, amputation, spinal cord injury, multiple trauma, and traumatic brain injury. Reconcile time cards, bonus tracking and coding approval. Prepare, coordinate and execute all staff communications; prepare huddle agendas and lead meeting. Determine staffing needs; make nursing assignments as well as assign overtime. Recommend effective annual increases. Interview staff for open positions; evaluate and conduct performance reviews as assigned; draft and issue corrective actions/coaching; follow up regarding any disciplinary action to determine compliance.
