Educates team members in new and existing department procedures and systems (information systems, fiscal responsibility, etc.). Provides input on department budget allocations to nursing management. Ensures adherence to the established care delivery model, using knowledge of scope and standards of practice. Faciliates continual patient care unit compliance with the JC, CMS, New York State, DOH, Public Health Law, HIPPA regulations and System, hospital and department standards. Demonstrates core clinical competencies for patient population of oversight in order to supervise and provide direct patient care. Maintains current knowledge of scope and standards of practice, healthcare legislation, and population health. Interprets policies, procedures and technical methods for team members. Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations that improve patient care delivery and team effectiveness using evidence-based strategies and solutions. Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
