Documents patient information accurately and timely in the electronic medical record, including treatment updates, medication refills, test results, and patient concerns. Provides patient education related to medications, treatments, and follow-up care as directed by the provider. Assists with referral authorizations and pre-authorizations for tests and ancillary services. Maintains exam, treatment, and lab areas in a clean and safe condition and ensures supplies and equipment are available. Performs laboratory-related tasks as applicable, including specimen collection, preparation, and basic testing following appropriate training and quality standards. Performs radiology-related tasks as applicable, including assisting with imaging procedures and ensuring proper safety precautions and documentation. Adheres to infection control, safety standards, and proper handling and disposal of specimens and materials. Supports telehealth services, including tele-retinal and tele-dermatology setup as applicable. What We Require: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required, or a new graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam. Experience: None. Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Limited Radiologic Technician license required for roles performing radiology functions. Life Support: Current AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Other Minimum Qualifications: Strong customer service orientation. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
