Conduct family and resident education Administer medications and treatments timely and according to center policy Transcribe physician’s orders and chart progress notes in an informative, factual manner that reflects the care administered as well as the resident’s response Identify and report changes in condition to supervisor, physician and family Accurately identify skin changes and follow skin management protocols Order and report diagnostic tests timely Follow Pharmacy policy and procedures for ordering and delivering medications. Coordinate resident’s rehabilitation program with therapists to ensure rehabilitation needs are met Monitors that CNA documentation is completed daily Ensures CNA assignments are completed on time Perform additional nursing care responsibilities as required and based on State Nurse Practice Act. Two or more years’ experience in behavioral health required. Experience working with psychiatric inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, chemically dependent and/or dually diagnosed clients. Experience with medication teaching, management of the therapeutic milieu and providing mandatory and voluntary in-service training. LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: Valid current RN license from the state or from a compact state, where applicable. Certified in Psychiatric Nursing preferred. CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
