Job Summary A $750 sign-on bonus is being offered to eligible new employees hired into our PCA positions. Schedule • Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM • Evenings: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM / 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM • Mandatory weekend shifts every month • Rotating holiday schedule. The RACU/General Medicine is an eighteen-bed unit crafted for the care of patients requiring focused pulmonary care and the care of patients with general medical diagnoses. This role will float between Bigelow 9 General Medicine and Bigelow 13 RACU, providing clinical support based on unit needs. PCA assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support, while promoting comfort and maintaining patient dignity. Responsibilities also include monitoring and documenting vital signs, obtaining EKGs, drawing blood, and responding promptly to patient requests while safeguarding confidentiality and always ensuring patient safety. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions • Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intake, and output measurements accurately and within established timeframes and/or as requested • Completes all required documentation in the medical record • Interact effectively with patients and families • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting • Assist patients with turning, repositioning, and transferring between bed and wheelchair as needed • Listen to patient concerns and reports changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
