Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more. Principal Accountabilities Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members. Records patient vital signs and medical information. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification. Director of Nursing (DON) We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team at a long-term care facility. This is a full-time leadership position. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Evaluate, improve, and implement processes within the nursing department to enhance efficiency and quality of care. Oversee all clinical and administrative functions of the nursing team on a daily basis. Ensure residents receive appropriate care and services to support their highest level of physical, emotional, and social well-being, in alignment with individualized care plans. Promote a care philosophy rooted in evidence-based practices and a commitment to excellence in resident outcomes and quality of life. Act as a liaison and advocate for both residents and nursing staff. Maintain high standards of care through effective onboarding, ongoing staff development, adequate staffing levels, and up-to-date policies and procedures. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing supervisors and management staff. Qualifications: Prior experience as a Director of Nursing in a long-term care setting is required. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills. Strong ability to assess operations and implement improvements within a nursing department. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred. Experience/Skills: Required: 1. Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
