This inpatient provider for the UWMC-Montlake Postpartum Care Unit would ensure consistency in discharge practices, timely coordination with Pediatrics and flow and help optimize patient care on the unit. This provider would round on low-risk postpartum patients, provide discharge counseling, lactation support and assist with care coordination and decision making for the postpartum management of hypertensive disorders, diabetes, or other medical conditions. The successful candidate would have experience working with low and moderate-risk obstetrical patients, clinical teaching experience, and be able to work collaboratively with our MFM and generalist faculty, CNMs, fellows, and obstetrics/gynecology residents to provide full scope ARNP clinical services for high-risk and low-risk postpartum patients.
