Job Details Description Position Summary: Responsible for preoperative assessment of patient status and ordering of preoperative medication under supervision with administration of drugs to produce sedation or anesthesia, insert arterial, venous catheters, and monitors the patient during anesthesia until the patient regains consciousness. The CRNA is frequently involved with the Code 88 team for resuscitation. •Experience: 0 to 3 months. Preferred previous cardiac anesthesia experience. •Education/Required License / Credentials: Current requirements to CRNA graduates. Current NJ-RN license and AANA Council eligible/certified. Minimum requirement of current ACLS. Maintains CEU status according to AANA Council on Re-Certification. Confirmation of credentials must be communicated to hospital Credentials Committee. Job Details The Unit Specialist is an RN who assumes an expanded role within the unit.
