Additional Information: Responsibilities: Manage health issues for patients, independently or in collaboration with the designated physicians. Work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of medical professional individuals. Extend the patient care and administrative services of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, implement treatment plans, perform procedures, and prescribe medicines and treatments. APRN provides daily care until last patient is seen for the day. Work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patient's health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. Coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consults, assuring that care is timely and appropriate. Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed. Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality when necessary. Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary departments; follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of Conduct Guidelines.
