Summary: The Wellness Nurse plays a key role in health promotion and illness prevention of patient populations through nursing-patient collaboration and patient education. Educates patients and their families regarding disease processes, treatments, risk factor modification strategies, and prevention strategies as appropriate under the nurse’s scope of practice. 7.
