Sterilizes all equipment/instruments using proper techniques, as well as technical usage of all other standard equipment used at the Wound Clinic/and or Physician office. Administers all medications as ordered and assures all documentation is noted, as well as calling in medications to area pharmacies when requested by physician. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and their patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical wound care setting. Assists in use of equipment and materials in a cost-effective manner. Completes all documentation supporting billable activities in a timely manner. Maintains documentation and assessment of patients' vital signs, drug allergies and description of patients' complaints on all charts. Under the supervision of an RN, case manages patients with their wound care. Applies dressings as ordered per the physician. Work Experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse licensure from a credentialed program supported by the Florida Board of Nursing and obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. The Lakes Home Care is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work with Pediatric and/or adult patients in their own homes. Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition. Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses. Qualifications: Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice. Current TB or Chest X-Ray. Current BLS card.
