Administer IV fluids, provided completion of annual competency IV therapy training. 6. Monitors patients receiving blood and blood products and TPN under the direction of the RN, who administers the transfusion. 7. Makes recommendations in the application of the nursing process. 8. Participates in planning, and administers direct patient care, including activities of daily living (ADL). 9. Performs point of care testing including blood glucose. 10. The training should include a written examination and competency demonstration. A Hemodialysis LPN may: • Administer bolus of medications by IV push in a chronic outpatient hemodialysis treatment center, excluding first dose administration which is administered by an RN. The RN will access and care for patient’s initial catheter use. Subsequently, and following the MSHS CVAD care policy, the LPN can: • Identify and set up supplies necessary for accessing a CVAD. • Initiate treatment with a CVAD. • Draw blood specimens from a CVAD. • Perform CVAD dressing change and exit site care. • Monitor and adjust flow rates of central venous catheter access device/line. • Intervene if there is a catheter/blood line disconnection or other complications associated with a CVAD. • Provide CVAD care at the end of dialysis treatment. Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse Monte Nido Rivertowns Irvington, NY Monte Nido River Towns, located in Irvington, NY is a residential treatment program exclusively for adults seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. Monte Nido’s treatment approach focuses on the restoration of physiological and nutritional balance, implementation of healthy eating and exercise routines, elimination of harmful behaviors, and development of motivation and treatment engagement. Our objective is to help each client achieve a clear understanding of their eating and/or exercise disorder and its effect on their life, as well as an individualized appreciation of what is necessary for their personal recovery. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Monte Nido team. Responsibilities Include: Obtaining and recording vitals as needed. Monitoring and reporting unusual client behavior. Medication administration. Document promptly and properly. Model normalized dietary habits by eating meals to completion when working during mealtimes. Qualifications: Active license as Licensed Practical Nurse (or be license-eligible). Experience in residential or inpatient behavioral health and mental health settings is helpful. Any past work with those overcoming Eating Disorders is a plus. Must hold active CPR/BLS prior to starting work. (We can arrange training if needed). #montenido
