The LVN will play a critical role in the patient experience including optimizing clinic flow, providing outreach to patients, and working collaboratively with the team to create a patient centered environment. In collaboration with the physician and nursing staff, the LVN has the clinical responsibility for maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, and for daily operations. The LVN is a team player who works closely with others and who is flexible in dealing with the changing priorities. They are a self-reliant individual who synthesizes their knowledge of practice operations to problem-solve, prioritize, and facilitate complex transactions during their daily activities. They are responsible for administering medications, assisting with a variety of procedures, practicing basic assessment of patient medical and psycho-social needs, participating in patient education, and assisting medical providers in a variety of ways. All components of nursing care will be individualized to meet the patient’s physiological and psychosocial developmental level and needs.
