Develops, coaches, and evaluates team members. Mentors team members in creating/evaluating projects focused on improving clinical practice. Provides advice to Clinical Manager on decisions involving hiring, terminations, promotions, and disciplinary actions as required. Monitors expenditures for unit/department and participates in the development of budget recommendations. Position requires regular and predictable attendance. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor will partner with the Clinical Nursing Director and the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the planning and management of the clinical and administrative operation of the Adult Surgical Intensive Care Unit and the University Hospital Adult Rapid Response Nursing Team (RRT). To provide leadership in the practice of nursing, emphasizing quality patient care, service, education and research.
