Overview Supervisor Clinical Nurse (RN) Post Anesthesia Care Unit - PACU, Evening Shift 11am - 9pm Responsible for patient flow and overall day to day operations that impact the care unit or department. Performs service recovery to promote patient and employee retention. Responds to staff and patient/family needs. Addresses conflicts as they may arise. Assists/mediates discussions to maintain smooth operations. Participates in institutional Quality and Patient Safety improvement initiatives, committees and projects. Develops, plans, and coordinates the implementation and evaluation of orientation for new staff. Collaborates with the rest of the leadership team to assess and evaluate the clinical competence of department staff. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required. 2 years of progressive responsibility within an acute care setting required. Specialty certification preferred. Must obtain and maintain clinical competencies within assigned unit. Excellent written, verbal and computer skills required. Demonstrated abilities with problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility and teamwork. Ability to work effectively in groups of employees and with patients and patient families is essential. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing (BSN) at time of hire.
