Ensure proper shift hand-offs, documentation, and communication between teams. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all care practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards. Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHRs). Assist in preparing for inspections, audits, and surveys (e.g., from CMS, state health department). Medication & Treatment Oversight: Monitor medication administration and ensure adherence to physician orders. Assist with or perform complex treatments as needed. Investigate and report medication errors or adverse events per policy. Communication & Collaboration: Act as a liaison between staff, residents, families, physicians, and external providers. Address resident or family concerns in a professional and timely manner. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (social workers, rehab, dietary, etc.) to coordinate holistic care.
