Department Overview Our Minneapolis medical/surgical float team is an integral part of nursing services within our medical/surgical community and provides valuable resources to the hospital system. Team members apply specific skill sets to four departments and provide additional resources as needs are identified. This approach offers the flexibility of working in different units while learning new skills every day. The float team is extremely knowledgeable, resourceful and flexible with the care they provide and units they support. We value teamwork, open communication, safety and respect. Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members. THIS IS AN MNA CONTRACT POSITION. Education Requirements: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Current Minnesota RN licensure. * Current BLS certification. * Based upon the unit in which you are applying, additional certification(s) may be required. Department specific required qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of employment. * Current Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification required or obtained during orientation. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee’s scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
