The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will serve as a key clinical provider caring for high-acuity cardiac surgery patients throughout the continuum of hospitalization. Working collaboratively with cardiac surgeons, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams, the APP will provide comprehensive inpatient management including consultations, admissions, discharges, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, developing treatment plans, coordinating care, and providing patient and family education.
