Evaluate data on PAP download and make adjustments to therapy as needed and evaluate response to intervention 5. Prescribe and evaluate response to medications relating to night sleep and daytime alertness. 6. Document all aspects of care provided. 7. Supervise and delegate tasks to staff members as indicated 8. Precept midlevel students as requested. 9. Maintain accurate count of all controlled substances within the office. 10. Diagnose and manage acute and life-threatening conditions, including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, multi-organ dysfunction, etc. Develop and implement treatment plans, that include but not limited to ventilator management and advanced life support interventions. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as chest X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, arterial blood gases (ABGs), and echocardiograms. Perform procedures that include, but not limited to central line placement, arterial line placements, intubation, chest tube insertion, and lumbar punctures, Vascath, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Cardioversion. Skilled in use and interpretation of data from complex monitoring systems such as ventilators, blood gas analysis, CPAP, BiPAP, IABP, Impella, ECMO, advanced hemodynamic monitoring devices (i.e. pulmonary artery catheter), and intracranial pressure monitoring. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based critical care. Educate patients and families on disease management and post-ICU recovery. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Qualifications: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) or Physician Assistant with a specialization in Acute Care. Preferred Experience/Specialized Skills Prefer two years of experience in the APN/CNS role. Prefer three to five years working in specialty area. TNCC(P) and/or ATCN(P). ANA and CA Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist preferred. Required Certification/Registration Current State of California RN license. N.P. certification. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS card. Current and Active ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certificate Required Education/Course(s)/Training Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Minimum of master’s degree in specialty or related area of expertise, MS/MSN preferred.
