Description MaineHealth Waldo Hospital in beautiful Belfast, Maine is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its Walk in Care team in a per diem capacity. For this position the ideal candidate will care for patients of all ages with minor medical issues and injuries on a walk-in basis. We seek an APP who is looking to work in a fast-paced environment caring for various medical conditions as part of a patient centered team. Providers work collaboratively with our Primary Care Providers. Our facility is currently embedded in our Primary Care office located on the Waldo campus. JOB DESCRIPTION " POSITION SUMMARY The Urgent Care Lead Advanced Practice Provider will support to the functions performed by within the urgent care in support of program objectives and goals. This position ensures the Advance Practice Providers follow the processes and procedures to support the urgent care operations. Our Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs) perform direct patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic services within our Walk-in Clinics. UI Walk-in Clinics provide care to try to save our patients a trip to the emergency room. We’re open evenings, weekends, and even some holidays. Our clinics are responsible to assess a wide variety of patients from newborn to geriatric and ensures patient care standards are met and provide access to additional care options not normally found at your traditional walk-in clinic, including X-rays, IV fluids, and stitches. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to patient care that encourages teamwork between multiple disciplinary teams to provide the most comprehensive care to our patients.
