Our Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs) perform direct patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic services within our Walk-in Clinics. UI Walk-in Clinics provide care to try to save our patients a trip to the emergency room. We’re open evenings, weekends, and even some holidays. Our clinics are responsible to assess a wide variety of patients from newborn to geriatric and ensures patient care standards are met and provide access to additional care options not normally found at your traditional walk-in clinic, including X-rays, IV fluids, and stitches. Perform urgent care procedures: suturing, splinting, incision & drainage (I&D), and foreign body removal. Manage basic Occupational Health and Workers' Compensation (WC) cases. Interpret digital X-rays and EKGs in real-time. Maintain rapid, accurate documentation within our EMR system during your shift. Requirements & Preferences License: Active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license. Certifications: National Board Certification, active DEA registration, and BLS/ACLS. Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of dedicated experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department setting. Must be comfortable being the sole provider on shift. Preferred Qualifications: DOT Certification, Occupational Health experience, and familiarity with Workers' Compensation cases are highly preferred (but we will train the right candidate to bridge gaps). This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly expanding Urgent Care Practices in 2026! The Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides direct and indirect care to patients and their families in an Urgent Care setting. This APP will function independently and collaboratively to provide medical care for patients from 0 through 20 years. This position will require the provider to work weekend days and weekday nights. Key Responsibilities Practices collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers to provide high quality health care to children. Performs appropriate assessment of patient/family upon referral/admission and appropriate documents history and physical exam data.
