Assist physicians in the performance of specialized procedures including, but not limited to, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, insertion of chest drainage tubes, tracheotomies, emergency thoracotomies, gastric lavage, and suturing lacerations. Operate specialized medical equipment such as resuscitators, defibrillators, electrocardiographs, oxygen apparatus, intravenous pumps, rapid intravenous infusers, and infant servo-warmer. Change dressings, prep wounds, remove sutures, insert catheters, apply splints and dressings, and collect urine, stool, sputum, genital, and blood specimens. Arrange transfer of patients to appropriate inpatient care areas and higher levels of care as well as coordinate patient referrals to ancillary healthcare services including, but not limited to, Community Health, Dietary, and Social Work. Follow quality improvement and internal control activities for the ambulatory setting to include risk appraisals, chart audits, trend identification and reporting corrective actions.Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Responsibilities : The SE Licensed Practical Nurse will be a generalized nursing role within the PACE center that will implement plans of care that have been formulated by the Provider and Primary RN in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team. This role will report to and be supervised by the respective RN Manager (Clinical Manager or Home Care Manager) depending on the PACE site. The SE Licensed Practical Nurse will carry out nursing tasks as assigned by their direct supervisor and in accordance with their license (i.e., receive calls from participants and their caregivers, appropriately triage each call and conduct appropriate follow up including timely documentation in the medical record, administration of prescribed medications to participants attending the PACE center, recording vitals, carrying out treatments and wound care as assigned for participants attending the day center, make frequent home visits in the community to evaluate the home environment, fill weekly medication packs, record vitals, administer prescribed treatments, deliver relevant health teaching for participants and their caregivers, and make recommendations to the IDT regarding unmet participant needs, etc.). The SE Licensed Practical Nurse will work closely with their respective supervisor as well as the other nursing staff to coordinate all care for SE participants. Assignments will require occasional or frequent travel throughout the service area to/from participants’ homes and contracted facilities. Overview Advanced Practice Registerd Nurse (Nurse Midwife), Ft Campbell, KY About the Position: This position is located at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology, Fort Campbell, Tennessee. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Occupying a generous portion of the border between Kentucky and Tennessee, Fort Campbell supports the fourth largest military population in the Army (and the 7th largest in the Department of Defense). The Screaming Eagles of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), 5th Special Forces Group, and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment all call this base home.
