Job Description We are searching for a Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU - We are looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position you’ll provide quality nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate care in a manner that incorporates family-centered principles and cost-effective care. The discharge ready unit (DRU) at Salem Health provides care for a unique and stable patient population who are medically cleared for discharge but are awaiting placement in long-term care facilities, outpatient dialysis, or hospice services. This unit offers CNAs and nursing staff the opportunity to support patients in a transitional phase of care, focusing on comfort, dignity, and coordination. Working in the discharge ready unit (DRU) allows CNAs to develop strong communication and organizational skills while collaborating closely with case management, social work, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions. Manage staffing needs, problem-solve issues and respond to family inuqiries with professionalism and empathy Minimum Requirements : Valid NYS RN license Associate’s degree in nursing Current CPR and BLS or achieve with onsite training 1+ yr of experience as a RN Preferred Requirements : 1+ yr of experience in a leadership role overseeing staff 1 + yr of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility Bachelor’s degree in nursing Highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities Excellent communication in a fast pace work environment across teams on different shifts Strong engagement within a team setting Contribute to a strong team environment and promote teamwork within the houses Leadership and mentorship skills overseeing RNs, LPNs and C.N.A staff Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field Pay Range: $44.00 - $58.10 per hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
