Job Requirements POSITION SUMMARY The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and in-direct patient care by adhering to the nursing process in a collaborative environment, promoting optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, care coordination, and patient and family engagement. Supports precepting, mentoring, and onboarding of new Associates and students as appropriate. Promotes a culture of purpose, rounding, and communication at the bedside (e.g., whiteboard use, bedside shift report). Work Experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma. Work Experience: Meets unit specific care requirements; new graduates taken under consideration based on the needs of the unit. Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida or endorsement. Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained. Additional certifications to meet unit specific care requirements (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS). Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in EMR systems and patient documentation. Demonstrated initiative in quality and patient safety improvements. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in complex environments. Must maintains compliance with competency validations and continuing education. Demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to a collaborative work environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Physically agile; requires walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching majority of the shift. May require moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders or overhead.
