This position is designed to implement and controls nursing systems on the unit in collaboration with other nursing and multi-disciplinary personnel. Assists in developing and implementing specific programs. Ensures direct nursing care of residents by nursing personnel. Assumes various management duties on the unit, including acting ADON in the absence of the DON. RN Manager, RN Leadership, Nurse Manager, Nurse Leadership, Registered Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse Leader Requirements Education: Minimum of a 2 year RN - Registered Nurse nursing diploma/associate nursing degree. BSN preferred. Licenses/Certification: Registered Nurse with a current license in the District of Columbia. BLS/CPR required. Experience: Two years’ experience in geriatric nursing. Participation in professional organizations, dealing primarily in geriatrics preferred. Minimum of two years nursing administration experience preferred, preferably in a long term care setting. Knowledge of basic computer skills.
