Continuously monitors patient status, accurately documents nursing interventions and condition changes in the medical record, and escalates concerns through the chain of command. Administers medications safely and accurately, complying strictly with hospital policies, federal regulations, and state laws regarding controlled substances. Carries out medical orders safely, assists physicians with specialized examinations, diagnostic tests, and bedside procedures, and maintains rigorous infection control and universal precautions. Respects patient privacy, protects confidentiality, honors diverse cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual values, and coordinates comprehensive patient and family education with verified understanding. Maintains professional licensure in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and actively participates in hospital performance improvement initiatives to elevate safety and clinical outcomes. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
