Description The Surgery Observation unit, in the new state-of-the-art North Carolina Surgical hospital, is a 15-bed unit , which provides care to a varied adult surgical population to include patients on observation status, extended recovery from PACU, and at times, those awaiting an inpatient bed assignment.
