We are a medical unit that cares for patients with a variety of medical diagnosis, including renal disease, diabetes management, wound management, pain management, and vascular access issues; supporting patients varying from young adult to the geriatric age group. This unit is the designated unit for providing all Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) for Methodist Hospital. This unit also embodies an additional unit, B5, a 5-bed End of life care unit that is dedicated to the care of patients at the end of life, including both palliative and hospice care. Shift: Part Time - Weekends Only / Days This position currently qualifies for a NEW hourly wage differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction. Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
