The Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) is a35-bed, single-room unit.The patients are typically here for observation or if needed to be admitted as an inpatient they will stay in CDU until a floor bed is available. Multidisciplinary rounds are done Monday – Friday. This involves the patient in their care and allows the team members to collaborate with the patient to give them the best possible care and appropriate discharge to home or other facilities. The Express Admit Unit (EXAU) is under the management of the CDU. There are 6-bed areas where the admitted patients stay until a floor bed is available. This gives them privacy and care while waiting for their room to be available. Both CDU and EXAU can have patients on telemetry for cardiac monitoring. Job Description Nemours is seeking a Day Medicine Registered Nurse. The Day Medicine Unit has 10 physical bays that can accommodate 10 patients at one time. The Sedation Suite houses two anesthesia induction rooms, two sedation induction rooms and eight recovery bays. We have just expanded to also have the PET/MR Suite which includes one anesthesia and one sedation induction room. Hours of operation for Day Medicine are between 0600 and 1930, Monday through Friday. Registered Nurse - 3E, Intermediate Care Unit

Job Description Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse for our general pediatrics stepdown unit to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware . This position is FULL-TIME, 72 hours biweekly, 12-hr rotating shifts, with every third weekend and holiday rotation . 3 East is a surgical intermediate unit with a high population of patients requiring post-operative care for urological issues, traumatic injuries, and general surgery. 3 East also cares for patients with acute and end stage renal disease and patients requiring an intermediate level of nursing care due to their tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs. Each patient room is equipped with oxygen, compressed air, and suction along with state-of-the-art cardiorespiratory bedside monitors and computers that enable the healthcare team to access a patient’s electronic medical record. The patient care complexity directly relates to the wide range of patient care skills required for this diverse patient population. The goal of this unit is to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care. The Synergy model is used in making appropriate patient assignments based on patient and family needs and nursing skill set. Special equipment used on this unit includes infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, BiPap respirators, Oxygen delivery methods, PCA & epidural pumps, wound vacutainers, ventilators and specialty beds. Nursing competencies include: chest tube management, pain management, blood product administration, urinary catheterization, tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and central line care and management. Qualifications We are looking for professional and dedicated nurses passionate about pediatrics BSN preferred; if have associate's degree must receive BSN within three years Pediatric experience preferred At least 6 months of nursing experience required Bilingual Preferred Must be eligible for or have current DE nursing license. Must have BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
