You will coordinate high-quality care for complex, high-acuity patients, applying your clinical expertise in assessment, monitoring, and care planning. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support clinical staff within your service line, serving as a clinical expert and resource. Conduct comprehensive assessments and exercise sound clinical judgment to develop individualized care plans. Monitor patient progress and collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust care strategies accordingly. Develop and update a core curriculum in partnership with the clinical educator and system education team. Oversee new staff orientation, ongoing staff education, and evaluate training programs to ensure continuous improvement. Lead unit and system-level initiatives to optimize workflow, safety, and patient outcomes. Act as a role model, mentor, and member of the management team, always aligning with the organization’s Mission and Vision. Qualifications: Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN). Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. The clinical manager of operations combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. Accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will lead an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards. Provides oversight of unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, weekends, and holidays. This is a fully onsite role at Fishers Hospital Monday-Friday day shift supporting Central Sterile, PAT, PreOp, PACU, and OR. There are no current expectations for evening or weekend rounding but that is expected to change in the coming months. Strong preference for individuals with previous OR experience as well as previous leadership experience.
