House Supervisor, Nursing (PD, Nights) Monterey Park Hospital

Overview Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is recruiting for a Nursing Supervisor . This position is per diem and for every other weekend shifts. This is a 12-hour shift position. The first 8 hours are compensated at the base rate, and the remaining 4 hours are paid at the applicable overtime rate. Responsibilities The Nursing Supervisor serves as the on-site administrative resource for the facility. The Nursing Supervisor collaborates, coordinates and communicates with administration, physicians and the entire management team to facilitate the delivery of quality patient care. The Nursing Supervisor serves as a role model by providing leadership and expertise and acts as a clinical resource for other members of the interdisciplinary team. The Nursing Supervisor responds to the needs and requests of others quickly and efficiently and assists others in completing tasks or duties for improved customer satisfaction. Qualifications BSN preferred. 3 years in the role of Administrative Supervisor preferred. Current CA RN license. Current BLS and ACLS required (AHA). AB 508 training, Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred and PALS preferred. .

Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training. Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary.
