We are seeking two dedicated Certified School Nurses (CSNs) or CSN students for contract opportunities, beginning in August and running through late May. These roles support elementary and high school campuses, each with distinct schedules. You'll work collaboratively to manage health offices, complete medical reviews, and participate in IEP and 504 plan developmentall integral aspects of the CSN position. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a Professional Educator License (PEL) and CSN endorsement (more than an RN license required; CSN coursework typically takes 12 years) Experience as a Certified School Nurse highly preferred Spanish-English bilingual ability is a strong asset Demonstrated flexibility, dependability, and collaborative spirit Excellent attendance and reliability record Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the school health office Conduct required medical reviews and maintain health records Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 plan processes Collaborate closely with school staff, students, and families Adapt to changing needs while maintaining a supportive team environment These are full-time, 37.5-hour/week roles with set schedules at either a high school (7:15 a.m.2:25 p.m.) or elementary school (8:25 a.m.3:40 p.m.). The registered professional nurse assumes accountability and responsibility for the individualized, age-specific care of a patient along the continuum from admission to discharge. She/He gives direct care to assigned patients and assists with other patient care when necessary. Responsibilities: Assess and records patient status and identifies patient care needs upon admission/point of care entry. Organizes the assessment health data so that it is accurate, complete and accessible. Identifies problems that need immediate attention. Coordinates interdisciplinary care.
