Complete all Unit Specific Emergency Department and required command competencies including but not limited to Restraints, Massive Transfusion Protocol, administration of blood products, triage and IV Conscious Sedation following NHCP Policies and protocols within 90 days of assignment at NHCP. Receive phone calls and/or patients presenting in the Emergency Room Department and triage patients to appropriate level of care within the military treatment facility. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications : • Education: Possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, a Graduate Diploma in Nursing, or an Associate Degree in Nursing, from an accredited agency such as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). • Experience: Possess a minimum of three years-experience within the last four years as an Emergency Room RN OR if there was a break in employment, the HCW shall have a minimum of three years extensive previous experience as an Emergency Room RN within the last six years OR HCWs with any prior military experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse must have at least one of experience. • Licensure: Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse * Security : Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance. * Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification, ACLS & PALS.
