Performs grade I-IV Decubitus Care; performs preventive skin care measures; applies simple dressings, maintaining principles of aseptic technique; applies warm and cold compresses, consistent with facility procedure; performs irrigations, consistent with Facility procedure; performs other procedures related to skin care, as necessary. Administers medications correctly and safely; correctly identifies medication in terms of action, dosage, side effects, and implications for the patient; meets standard on medication administration examination; demonstrates preparation of local solutions. Administers and documents medication correctly; educates patients and significant others related to drug and food interactions; educates patients and significant others related to drug and food interactions. Participates in patient and family education; provides patient with an explanation of his/her condition as indicated; communicates assessment data in an orderly fashion by recording, updating and verbalizing pertinent information to care team members and to appropriate agencies; recognizes and utilizes health teaching opportunities and resources /materials available for this teaching; provides for early discharge planning and appropriate referrals for post-hospital care; evaluates the effectiveness of teaching by feedback from patient/ family and documents same. The tasks and responsibilities include: Creating an environment that leads to a positive patient care experience by evaluating, planning and implementing effective plans of care and communicating with both patients and their families Serving as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care in an acute or clinic settings Making sound decisions in response to changes in condition/response to treatment while maintaining a calm demeanor Utilizing the Electronic Health Record to document patient care Effectively coordinating with physicians and team members regarding changes in patient status, symptomatology, results of diagnostic tests and critical test values Department:** Cath Lab Location:** Englewood, NJ Status:** Full Time Shift:** Days Hours:** 7:00am-7:30pm staggered starts; on-call required Job Essentials A minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience required. Education Requirements BSN preferred License/Certification/Registry Current NJ RN License, BLS and ACLS required. Speciatly Certification preferred. _Englewood Health provides a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
