Are you living your life's work? Why Join Our Team? The Pediatric Department at Penn Medicine Princeton Health is seeking a per diem RN to work the night shift. Patients that are admitted to the Pediatric Unit will include those aged two (2) days to eighteen (18) years. We care for patients with a wide range of complexities which include High Flow Nasal Cannula, any patient that needs higher acuity medical attention will be transferred to another facility. In the case of a medical/surgical patient surge, adult patients may be admitted to the Pediatric Unit that have medical and surgical diagnoses requiring a mild level of care, with the expectation of a brief and uncomplicated hospitalization. Scheduling Requirements (Tier 3): Work a minimum of seven shifts per six-week schedule. Two of these shifts must be fulfilled on the weekend. Work two holidays per calendar year. Per Diem RNs will be paid at 1.5 times the rate for all hours worked on these holidays . Based on your hired shift, work at least two ‘difficult to staff’ days per calendar year (Easter, Mother’s Day, Halloween, ‘Black Friday’, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, Valentine’s Day or New Year’s Eve) Follow departmental call-out policy Make-up absences within the same schedule period. Failure to comply with this on two occasions in a year will result in withdrawal of the employee from Per Diem status. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience, CCRN certification, and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position is full time days - 7a-7:30p, every other weekend and rotating holidays. The position is 37.5 hours per week.
