Expected to ensure department meets all regulatory requirements. Quality management will be demonstrated by assuring delivery of safe patient care through ensuring supplies and equipment are readily available for each specialized area and procedure. Maintains current certifications in specialty and continues education when necessary. Will serve and/or chair departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed. May be asked to assist with other projects or work assignments as needed by organization, department or leadership. Qualifications Education Details Bachelor's degree in nursing required or currently has in place, an education plan with proven continuous action toward achieving a Bachelor's degree in Nursing within three years of hire. Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). In this position, prior to January 1, 2018, who do not possess a Bachelor’s degree will not be required to obtain. Three years of professional nursing experience in a clinical care setting preferred. Knowledge of pediatric area is preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required and must be obtained within six months of employment.
