Performs and interprets various cardiac and vascular lab tests Works closely with cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, electrophysiologists, and other physicians in the care and treatment of full range of cardiovascular conditions Participates in clinical trials and clinical research programs as per clinic needs Documents legible and concise entries in the medical record. Performs appropriate patient preparation for each visit and/or procedure. Educates patients on cardiovascular diseases, including but not limited to preventive measures Assists in performing diagnostic tests such as ECG’s, EKG’s Initiatives Holter and Event monitors Interacts with the patients as well as their families pre and post treatment Monitors the patient and their vitals, especially cardiovascular readings Possesses knowledge of ACC/AHA guidelines related to heart failure Provides general nursing care to patients as necessary for office treatment. Responds to and refers to incoming telephone calls. Posts tests and examination results. Administers medications in accordance with physician orders.
