This position is eligible for a commencement bonus of $7,500.00, with 50% payable at or around the hire date and the remaining 50% payable after six (6) months of continuous employment. Position Title: Perioperative Registered Nurse (OR Circulator & PACU Nurse) Department: Surgical Services Reports To: Director of Perioperative Services Status: Full time Position Summary The Perioperative Registered Nurse functions in both the intraoperative (Circulator) and postoperative (PACU) phases of surgical care. This dual-role nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The role requires flexibility, critical thinking, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes throughout the surgical continuum. Description The Nurse Manager (NM) is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service setting such as inpatient, procedural, emergency department or ambulatory care. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, daily staffing (as supported by the Center-Led Staffing Model), employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical record documentation, compliance with internal and external regulatory agency requirements and patient safety solution/corrective action plans. The Nurse Manager collaborates with multiple professionals to support and coordinate the provision / management of patient care inclusive of the patient admission throughout the discharge process appropriate to the setting. Prioritizes recruitment and retention strategies in accordance with system and local hospital retention goals. 10. Implements and monitors unit salary and supply budgets, including capital equipment allocation according to MSHS financial goals. 11. RN- Ambulatory Services, Pre-op and PACU

Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for care of infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients with health care needs ranging from those requiring outpatient and inpatient intervention to the critically ill. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System. The RN will demonstrate commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts. Pre-Op The Pre-Op RN will aid in preparing the patient for their surgical procedure. The Pre-Op RN is responsible for starting and monitoring IVs, administering pre-operative medications, and performing pre-operative procedures with the assistance of anesthesia. They will provide support, education, direct care to patients, and act as a liaison between the surgical team and the patient families/support system. PACU The PACU nurse is responsible for assessing the patient, should have a thorough knowledge of pain medication and be able to make judgments and assessments when it comes to pain, vomiting or trouble breathing. PACU nurses work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, making quick decisions. SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION: This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas.
