Job Overview Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Perianesthesia (PACU) team at University of Minnesota Medical Center West Bank Campus and Masonic Children's Hospital, located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, MN. We are seeking a hardworking and motivated Registered Nurse to join our PACU team, which includes, nursing assistants, schedulers, instrument technicians, and MDs. The PACU RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned Perianesthesia (pre- and post-op) patients. The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedure, and professional practice guidelines. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. Schedule: This PACU nursing position will be working 60 hours every two weeks on the evening shift, 10 hour shifts (start times 10:00 am and 11:00 am). Weeknight call is every fourth weekend and rotating weekend call. UMMC West Bank is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Minnesota and in turn has students, residents, fellows placed in this OR daily.
