Department Overview The main operating room at Children’s Minnesota Minneapolis Hospital includes nine surgical suites and one procedure room. The Extended Recovery Unit Nurse provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and procedural interventions. This role is responsible for comprehensive postoperative assessment, continuous monitoring, pain management, medication administration, and coordination of care from Phase II recovery through discharge or transfer to inpatient units.
