Responsibilities The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. NP ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide primary and preventative care for long term care patients residing in skilled nursing facilities. Manage Residents with acute change in condition. Advanced care planning and chronic care management. Prescribe appropriate medications, including controlled substances in accordance with KY Law.
