The Registered Nurse manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. This position provides care and education for the patient based on their illness, symptoms, and courses of treatment. This position is responsible for the delivery of quality care in designated areas of surgical services while meeting standards as set forth by the state, regulatory agencies, and facility policies and procedures. Evaluates the identified problems, care provided, and patient’s responses are reassessed in order to meet patient and family needs to ensure overall quality of care delivered. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the health care team to ensure quality care. Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure. Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the department as defined in the scope of service, to ensure that the unique nature of the client is addressed. Maintains supplies/inventory for department. May be required to act as charge nurse for on call situations, holiday coverage, and/or as needed. Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization. May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters. We are located in Escondido, CA What You Will Do (Job Summary) - The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
