Assists in setting up rooms. Secures safe transport of the patient if needed. Confirms correctness of the surgical site, prepares the pre-operative site, instruments the case, manages the sterile field and specimens, and turns the room around under the supervision of the circulating nurse. Serves as a steward for the hospital’s human and material resources. Meets productivity expectations of unit/department as defined by unit manager. Identifies accurate changes on surgeons' preference cards. Utilizes and maintains appropriate supplies during the case and in the department.
