Position Summary: The Operating Room Registered Nurse oversees the safe, effective, and efficient care of patients in the operating room by sterilizing equipment, preparing rooms, and assessing patients before and after surgery. They will also assist the surgeon during the procedure. Bachelors preferred. Licensure : Registered Nursing licensed in the State of Nebraska or eligible compact state required. Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire or transfer date. Experience : 1+ years perioperative, medical-surgical or PACU experience preferred. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age /weight of the patients served.
