Summary : UNC Health Campus Care at Carolina is a multi-specialty ambulatory college health clinic providing quality, and affordable health care for eligible students and spouses. UNC Health Campus Care at Carolina collaborates with Student Wellness and Campus Recreation and other Student Affairs partners to provide education and outreach to assist in keeping the campus population healthy. Education and research comprise another important function of UNC Health Campus Care at Carolina. We provide clinical rotations and practicums for students in the School of Education, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work and Public Health, Department of Medical Technology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Health and Radiology. In addition, the clinic serves as a research site for a number of faculty and graduate student grants and contracts, where staff participates with the principal investigators across a variety of medical specialties. The per diem Physician Practice Nurse provides patient care within the scope of practice for the licensed Registered Nurse. Facilitates patient flow and assists with prioritization of work assignments. Responsibilities : 1. Maintains compliance with organizational policies and procedures. 2. Job Description Enables the physician to provide quality patient care, and assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of physician by performing the following duties. Responsibilities Maintains patient flow during clinic hours. Join the University of Chicago Medicine as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) on the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for the comprehensive management of critically ill adult patients in collaboration with attending physicians, fellows, residents, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team members. The APP provides evidence-based critical care to patients with complex surgical, trauma, transplant, and emergency general surgery conditions. In this role, you will provide direct care to patients, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentials committee, to include identification, management, and/or referral of health problems. Conduct comprehensive or episodic health assessments and develop patient care plans within clinical practice and medical care protocols.
