Professional nurse practices requiring specialized knowledge, judgment and skills are performed consistent with hospital policy, procedure, philosophy and licensure. Provides care for age specific population as listed below. Responsibilities: Provide direct, professional nursing care to specified population of patients in the acute care setting. Develops a patient centered plan of care based on individualized needs. Maintains confidentiality of the patient medical record. Counsel and educate patients and their care partner on treatment plans. Administering medication following the five rights of medication administration. Administration and monitoring patients when using Moderate Sedation and Analgesia. Provide wound care and dressing changes, as applicable.
