Program Overview The Center for Advanced Cardiac Therapeutics offers comprehensive management for patients with weakened heart muscles and advanced heart failure, including expertise in: Advanced medical heart failure therapy LVAD and VAD management ECMO support Cardio-oncology Cardiac amyloidosis and sarcoidosis Pulmonary hypertension Cardiogenic shock Structural heart disease (in partnership with the Heart Valve Center) Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inpatient evaluations of patients with acute decompensated and chronic congestive heart failure. Diagnose and manage systolic and diastolic heart failure. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Manage guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT). Provide care for patients requiring advanced therapies including LVAD, VAD, and ECMO. Assist in the management of cardiogenic shock and complex cardiac conditions. Monitor laboratory results, imaging, and hemodynamic data. Order and interpret diagnostic tests. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds. Assist in advanced cardiac therapeutic interventions.
