JOB SUMMARY Responsible to plan, organize, develop, direct and delegate (as appropriate) the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and facility policies. Review nurses’ notes/EHR to ensure they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care being provided, and they reflect the customer’s response to the care. Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure medications are being administered as ordered and treatments are provided as scheduled. Ensure that professional nursing personnel have valid and current licenses as required by State. Ensure changes in customer condition are reported to family and attending physicians. Attend Department Head meetings, Infection Control meetings, Quality Assurance meetings, etc., as directed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Notifies family of change in residents condition or hospitalization according to Masonic Village policy. Assist to identify resident needs and strengths. Responsibilities for Registered Nurse (RN): Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable standards of nursing practice and the physician’s plan of treatment, as well as the written plan of care. Follow and implement care plans developed by the Nurse Manager. Perform medication administration and treatments in accordance with the plan of care (POC). Monitor and assess residents’ conditions, promptly reporting changes to appropriate clinical team members. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and high-quality resident care. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and nursing regulations. Qualifications for Registered Nurse (RN): A current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Maryland . Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required. Ability to manage care for multiple residents simultaneously in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
