Diagnose and manage endocrine disorders in collaboration with supervising physicians. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results. Manage diabetes care, including insulin therapy, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and insulin pump management. Provide patient education regarding disease management, medications, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state laws and organizational protocols. Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed. Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR). Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, nurses, dietitians, diabetes educators, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical performance programs. Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements. Qualifications Education MSN with specialization as an APRN Current state license as an Nurse Practitioner BLS upon hire and maintain current Two years as nurse practitioner in Endocrinology & Diabetes preferred or two years as a nurse practitioner in a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine clinic Experience with electronic health record systems Skills Insulin pumps Continuous glucose monitors (CGM's) Intense insulin regimens Lead or co-lead SMA's (shared medical appointments), offering medical assessments within a group setting #LI-TA1 Pay Transparency Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $118,000 to $126,000.
